Windows 7 does take a bit more effort to network than the venerable XP ever did, but it is more secure. In 7 you must set folder permissions and also decide who gets them. I have done it several times and maybe some fine day it will become as automatic as in XP. Actually the last time it only took two tries and I didn't have to consult my own tutorial to do it so guess I am getting better.
Then there are those times where you do everything correctly and things still don't work. Don't you just love computers? And my access was from one shared folder to the other in My Computer menu. So, I had to have in the share folder what ever , I wanted to share.
