Maria, In the jaws basic menus, do you have the keyboard set to laptop or desktop? Try changing from keyboard to laptop and that might solve the problem. Since i use one of my laptops without a keyboard and the other laptop with a keyboard, I found it less confusing to have both keyboards set to laptop. Alt J for jaws interface O for options B for basic and then tab to keyboard and down arrow to laptop and press enter. If it is already set to laptop, then try changing the keyboard to desktop. One or the other may work. If not, I do not have another suggestion. I just found out something interesting. I'm using an external keyboard with a laptop. If I press the insert plus control plus v combination, I don't get the version of a program. However if I do it on the keyboard of the laptop itself the combination works. Hmm.
