Hello Anna,
Go to start with the windows key. You arrive at the search dialog.
Search for show/hide, or just one of the two elements. Then tab to where the results are and press enter in settings. One of the results is show/hide inactive icons on the taskbas, or something like it. If you keep going down arrow you will find differents items you can sho or hide, sich as the battery.
The system tray is called the taskbar notification area.
