Hi Kimsen and all,
I think I finally figured out what was going on with all you guy's help.
When I went into the sort box I put in received and the ascending but in the
next box there was something in there about auto. I went and looked at one
of my other folders and in that box type it said none. So I went back and
change the one box to receive and none in the next one. Now I think it is
working correctly. I'll have to check it out after I get a few more email
in that folder.

Once again thank all of you for being so patient and helpful.

Ed

Oops, lol. I must've heard that one wrong, darn hearing loss!
Well, in my inbox, here is how I have it set up and the oldest is at the
top, and I just sent myself an email and it appeared at the bottom.
View ribbon, alt V.
I tabbed and unchecked the box to make sure it wasn't in conversation view.
Then, tab to view settings and press spacebar.
Down arrow to the sort by button and press spacebar..
In the first combobox, select received. Tab and make sure it is set on
ascending and then tab to ok and ok and spacebar.
The keytip that John gave you originally should've worked but since it
didn't, try this route. I hope that helps, or will help.

I would like my email to be setup so that the oldest ones are at the top and
the newest one at the bottom.

Try the following...
        1. Alt v
2. tab to the view settings button and press spacebar.
3. Down arrow to description sort by and press spacebar on the button.
3.
In the first combobox arrow up to recieve and then press the tab key.
4. Make sure the radio button descending is chosen. If not, use your up or
down arrow to focus on it and tab.
5. The next combobox will be set on none, if not, use your up and down arrow
keys until none is selected.
6. Tab to ok, press spacebar and tab again to close out by pressing
spacebar on the remaining ok buttons.

Now, the newest emails should come in at the top and your oldest will be at
the bottom.
I verified this as I was writing this email, so it should work. If not, let
me know how it turns out.

Hi Group,

How do you in Outlook 2010 change the order that the emails are listed in my
inbox? I have changed this before but now I can't seem to remember how I
did it. I want my emails to be in order with the first one coming in at the
top and the later ones being at the bottom.

Thanks in advance

Ed
