Hi

I have found that it is ok to copy most of the settings files from one release
of JAWS to another. The one settings file I would not copy is Default.jcf.
There could be different settings depending on the version of Windows, the
version of JAWS and maybe 32 bit to 64 bit. You can use Merge the Settings to
set your defaults to what they were before, but I have seen that this does not
copy all the settings from the old version. What I do is copy everything but
Default.jcf and then go to Settings Center to edit the Default that was created
when JAWS was installed.

i copied everything in the “explore my settings” folder in jaws 14 32bit win7
and pasted these into the jaws 15 64bit windows 8.1 but found no change. jaws
