No it doesn't. This is about deleting entries from the Outlook address cache i.e. the addresses Outlook remembers after sending a message to it. This is not the same as your stored contacts.

Hi david,

You can delete them by pressing the Delete key while entering an address in the To: field as soon as the address you wish to delete shows up.

Suppose I have 3 addresses starting with the letter A remembered and I wish to delete the second one. I open a New Message. Enter the letter A in the To: field which proposes the first remembered address. I down arrow to the second remembered address and press Delete to get rid of it.
