Hi Jim, I don't run File Hippo on start-up, I run it manually. When you run it manually when it finishes scanning, you'll hear, File Hippo.com download free software Windows Explorer. Now, arrow down to, [View Update Checker Results], & press enter. Arrow down & you'll hear something like, 2 programs detected, & these will be the programs you have updates for. File Hippo only checks for updates of programs you have installed & tell it to check for. HTH
