Jaws sits in the queue of programs waiting to start with your pc. Try thinning out the number of programs that start up, only allow those that you use every day to start with the PC. Run a malware scan as suggested. If you use MS security essentials then uninstall and reinstall it. Do you have any network drives mapped? Windows may be trying to reconnect to these before continuing to start applications? There are lots of reasons and the individual application is rarely the cause.
