One possible problem is your "view" settings.
>From within your list of documents,
1. do an alt key plus letter V as in view to open the view menu.
2. down arrow to sort and press enter.
3. you should see a number of items you can check to make this folder read
the way you want. For example ascending or descending, lists, detail etc.
4. there is on my computer a more button with other options.
5. note that when you open the "view" menu, there are items list and detail
should be checked. You do this by entering on the view you want. Then you
can go back into the view menu and down arrow to the "sort" menu item to get
additional choices. I have my folder view set to detail which puts files
and folders in a detailed list and I have the ascending item checked.
Good luck

Subject: [JAWS-Users] Documents Files and Folders List Are Mixed up

I use Win 7 and JAWS 12. For some reason, now when I open Documents, all of
my files and folders there listed are no longer in alphabetical order. I
have no idea in what order they are other than mixed up.

How can I get them back like they always were?

Thanks for all help.
