Personally I like a USB headset from Radio Shack called Giga bit. No drivers other than standard and as such no compatibility issues with JAWS. They do have more features in 32 bit systems than 64 bit because I have never found updated drivers for them, still they work well and have a 10 foot cord which can get in the way some times.
In 32 bit systems the optional drivers will allow the what you hear feature to be enabled, which is how I have made some of my recordings that are now posted on the server. I have encountered drivers in the past specifically for my turtle beach card that install an interface that is less than JAWS friendly, but not with these. David Ferrin A complex system that does not work is invariably found to have evolved from a simpler system that worked perfectly. -----Original Message----- From: JAWS-Users-List [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Alan Robbins Sent: Tuesday, February 04, 2014 8:26 AM To: Jaws-Users-List Subject: [JAWS-Users] Headset recommendations Using Windows 7, JAWS 15 interested in your experiences with combo USB headset & mic for using while making VOIP calls, Skype, etc. Please give model #, voice & recording quality, comfort, and what you like/dislike about them.
