I have hesitated to try Avast myself because some Avast users on other lists have reported that it may be necessary to boot into safe mode to remove it in the event that it doesn't work out, and booting into safe mode, of course, requires sighted help.

I am using it and it is very good. The problem is that it is not very
accessible with Jaws and I have to use some tricks to, for example, register
every year.
