I don't know about this particular instance, but it is definitely possible to run 32 bit programs on a 64 bit system. You just can't do the reverse.

Dj, if the older XP system was a 32 bit, it's unlikely that those voices will work on your newer 64 bit system. There have been some instances where voices I have used with Jaws 13 and 14 don't work at all with Jaws 15, but I believe that is because the supporting software has been changed. I'm not 100% clear on this but I am sure that any program designed to work on a 32 bit system, might not function easily in a 64 bit environment.
