Hi Dwight,
Windows 8 is not like XP and 7 where you can just go to the System
Configuration Manager, (msconfig)
you open the Task manager and go to the startup tab.
You can arrow thru the list, once you have an item selected,
if memory serves, you have to tab to a disable button.
Not running Win8 here right now, just going from memory.
HTH,
Rick Justice
Tomorrow's another day, another way!
and if tomorrow never comes, problem solved!

Subject: [JAWS-Users] computer clean up
For years I used the computer clean up on my windowsn xp. I now have a hp
envy with windows 8 and jaws 14. I tried using the cleanup routine but
when
I went to the start up it took me to the task bar showing a list of
programs
but there are no check boxes that will prevent some of them from running
at
start up. How do I keep some of them off?
Thanks,
Dwight Johnson
