Hi, I am working with a Web front end for managing DNS and DHCP servers and have encountered acatch-22. This Web front end has a series of menus that must be activated to access the various screens to perform the tasks related to DNS and DHCP.
When I use Internet Explorer (IE 10), the menus are both links and MouseOver elements,, but I cannot get consistent results using the virtual PC cursor. However, I can activate these menus by using the JAWS cursor to place the mouse cursor over a menu and clicking it with the right mouse button. Unfortunately, Internet Explorer is having difficulty rendering some of these screens properly. I tried Mozilla Firefox (latest version, whatever version that is). JAWS reports these menus as links, but any attempt to activate these links using the virtual PC cursor do not seem to get any response. I attempted to activate the links by pressing INSERT + 3 and then pressing ENTER, but got no response. While using the JAWS cursor, JAWS does not report that these menus exist. In the past, I have notice pressing the ENTER key does not always activate links. At times, some links simply cannot be activated using the ENTER key. I am forced to find a workaround. As with this situation, the workarounds do not always work. Does anyone has any suggestion on how to activate such a links? Is there any JAWS keyboard shortcut for such a situation? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. ________ Darren D. Gilchrist For answers to frequently asked questions about this list visit: http://www.jaws-users.com/help/
