wysiwyg does have a meaning: "What you see is what you get". It actually is important, and I wish more programs gave it to us. How many times have you created something, it looks right so you print or send it, and it doesn't come out the way you put it in? If wysiwyg is a feature, the finished project comes out just as you saw it before printing or sending.

WYSIWYG is just one of many bits of jargon floating around the nerd section of society. Another one of interest is the term TWAIN which describes a driver required for Optical Character Recognition.
TWAIN literally means a Tool Without an Interesting Name.
Most confusion to normal people, but amusing for nerds.
