Select the rows with the heading level you don't want and press ctrl+spacebar and ctrl+shift+n. If there is a text on those rows, it will lose formatting.

For no reason, all of a sudden, I now hear Heading Level 3 inserted along
the way in a Word doc. I am editing. I have no idea why this started and I
can't figure out how to get rid of it saying this because I don't know if it
is actually typing this in my final edited copy. Is it?
