Hi

As has been said, the old CRT monitors needed to keep changing, or be
blanked out, to keep from burning a pattern into the screen. But with the
new LCD/LED monitors, this is no longer necessary. So if you want to have
the screen go blank after a period of non-activity, go into the power
settings. There you will find a setting to turn off the monitor after a
period of inactivity, which you can choose. Using this setting should also
help extend your battery life.

I need to know if I need to select a screen saver setting for my window's 7
laptop?
Currently it set to none, and it does not sleep or hibernate.

thanks,

Trish
