Tethering is different. The command is control-Jawskey-minus. I assume if you are using a laptop keyboard with the lower number of keys, you might need to hit the function key to give you a numpad to use the minus key.

I'm trying to find the keystroke for, tethering the Jaws cursor to the PC
cursor, for a laptop computer but, I can't find this keystroke in the help
files. Will someone please tell me what this keystroke is for a laptop? Oh
