Sounds like you are hitting the insert space bar s key, which is a toggle to
turn Jaws on and off.

Ok, I'm tired of messing up Jaws. I am running Jaws 14 on a Windows 8
laptop and I keep muteing it. Is there a way to prevent this? Or, is
there a way to fix it so I can unmute Jaws? I'm not even sure how I'm
doing this. It has happened 6 or more times.
