Anna, I don't think that it is different from Win 7 to Win 8 to access the C drive, from what I have been told. In Win 7 I press the windows key and E and it opens up the computer. It says hard drives and if you arrow down it say removable storage. I hit enter on the hard drive, which is C and it opens up the list and arrow to what I am looking for in it. I hope this helps.
