Hi,
I don't mean to but in on your conversation, but Windows Media Player in
Windows 8 will not play DVD's. You will need a third part party media play,
such as Cyberlink, to do this. I think that you will get the trial version
by accepting their agreement, and it probably will not last for very long.
You can pick up a DVD playback software on Amazon or Ebay for a good price,
but be sure to get the latest version to ensure Windows 8 compatibility.

Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] playing media on Windows 8, question
David,
I did find Media player after some searching. I put in a DVD and a
program called Cyber Link Power DVD pops up. It gives me a message to
not use the software unless I except the agreement. I can't find any
buttons to except or decline the software. How would I set Media
Player as the default player?
Thanks!

hello;
windows media is already on your laptop.
it's most likely the default since you probably don't have any other
player
on their.

What program can be used for playing media on a Windows 8 laptop? I
am using Jaws 14. I have DVDs and CDs.
Thanks so much!
