Hi George, It's not so much the language but what used to be called its IDE, integrated development environment that makes it accessible or not. Simply put, the IDE is the app that allows you to write, run and debug your code.
I still do a lot of command line based programming with variants of C, SQL, shell scripting, and even new stuff like ruby on rails. For these I use a UNIX terminal emulator like terraterm, switching between the Jaws and PC cursor to read and write on the window. AS for more complex IDEs, I have not worked with any, so all I can say is the thinner the client (meaning mostly HTML pages with few active graphic images ) the more likely that Jaws will be able to handle it. Sorry I could not be of more help. Peter. -----Original Message----- From: JAWS-Users-List [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Raaju Sent: June 10, 2014 11:24 AM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] programmers' question Hi, c, c++, visual basic and assembly language are accessible with jaws. I heard java is also accessible, but i got no success. -----Original message----- From: Jorge Paez Sent: 10/06/2014, 9:32 pm To: [email protected] Subject: [JAWS-Users] programmers' question Hi all. So, I'm starting freshmen year of college in the fall, majoring in Computer Science. Just wanted to know if any of you knew what programming environments and languages were accessible? I know HTML/CSS/JavaScript/XHTML/PHP can be done in notepad, but what about programs that require their own special software, such as the Android Java Eclipse?
