Mike, et al.,
'Tethering' the JAWS cursor to follow the PC cursor is ok for the
instance, but not for our usual use outside of the circumstance you'rre
citing. Therefore you should untether again when you no longer require
this. There's also a setting, "screen track virtual cursor" which will
be found among the myriad uin the JAWS Settings Center, that is supposed
to have this effect (when checked with the ENTER key). The problem with
making the JAWS cursor follow the PC cursor generally is that it causes
many menus (submenus, specifically) to appear differently than how they
should. If you accidentally enable tethering, or leve it on
accidentallym, it can and does cause navigation problems. (With screen
track virtual cursor enabled, the sighted person will see everything on
the screen, although JAWS may appear to jump around as you move around.)

Hi Alan & Tom,
I don't know how accurate it is if you tether the Jaws cursor to the
PC
cursor or, if this should be used as a common practice but, I'm
definitely
going to try it when I have my wife look at a webpage so she can see
exactly
where I'm at, maybe if it works as advertised, rather than her having
to
read the whole page & me telling her what to look for.
Take care.
Mike

Mike,
I had forgotten this myself. Which way is the best to keep it?

Hi Mohib Anwar Rafel,
Thank you very much for your input & reply. I finally remembered the
keystroke / function, it's tethering the Jaws cursor to the PC
cursor.
This makes the Jaws cursor follow the PC cursor. The keystroke is,
Control, Insert, + NumPad minus / Jaws cursor button. This keystroke
is a toggle so it turns this function on & off. Thanks again.
Take care.
Mike

I don't know any specific key stroke, but you can select that
particular text by pressing control, shift and right arrow.
