have you ever tried Alasdair's King's Juice installer? If not, then you
might like to try it, before giving up on Juice.
You can still have Juice on Windows7. Alasdair King, the developer of
WebbIE, has developed a modern installer:

Solves most of the installer problems, but not all of them, sadly.

It works quite well though.
Also on the page he has instructions including how to get rid of botched
Juice installs (if present)
