Actually your comment email was relevant to my editing situation in that using windows media player was just an example of a player to be used. Thanks. I know how to do GoldWave cue points but it's time consuming and I hoped there was a lazy man out way of doing the task. (smile)

Oh. disregard my reply. they do not apply to Windows Media Player for
playing back a file, they are for playing back a file using Goldwave.

at the bottom of the edit menu, there's a submenu for cue points. you can
drop one to mark the beginning of each section, then jump from section to
section without splitting the recording. you'll have to read up on how to
use cue points, as I haven't used them before.

I have a large recorded mp3 file and I would like to edit it using
GoldWave. Currently, the file is one long three hour file. I want to
stop in different sections of the file when I hit forward when I'm
playing it using windows media player. I don't want to break it up in to
individuals file. Hope this makes sense.
