You don't have to be using the SayAll command, if you use
ctrl+Alt+page-up/page-down, to speed or slow JAWS speech. .

You can speed Jaws up or slow him down. You must be using the say all
command.

Key Echo, I had the same problem and the fix is to go into the Jaws
Settings Center and then down to keyboard options and now to the key
mute section and un mute the first eight or so things that you have
muted and then give that a try. I know it sounds crazy, but it worked
for me.

Janie, Strange but true, I have it set to characters and words
everywhere
and still it will only echo back words. Even when I use insert 2 on
the
numbers row, it won't change.

the quick keystroke is
insert and the number 2 on the number row
it will cycle through the choices

I'm setting up a laptop for someone and originally had it set to
echo words
when typing. Now when I try to set it to echo characters and words
it
refuses to change.
