Gerald, Thanks for the correction. I had forgotten that the download was no longer available for XP users. Someone might have an older executable installer for XP but, being the cautious user that I am, I would prefer to go to a trusted site, if not the site of the manufacturer, to obtain software. <sheepish grin>

The only free anti-virus option for XP users besides AVG is Avast, which some users have reported accessibility issues with, and may require booting into safe mode in the event that it doesn't work out and you want to uninstall it. So your best bet may still be AVG.
