To me, a quick key was a quick key, as long as it got me where I wanted to
go, it was a quick key to me.

What you're describing is known as a keyboard shortcut, or shortcut key.
In the context of JAWS, JAWS 'Quick Keys' are extra navigation keys (such as
h for heading, etc., available in Microsoft programs and in accessible Web
browsers).
