Ming,

You should test JAWS to see if it is able to switch first using the Surf's Up 
page. You might switch to Eloquence first to test this and then read this page:
http://www.freedomscientific.com/Training/Surfs-Up/Languages.htm

If the synthesizer language is switching as expected, then JAWS is set up right 
to do it. This would indicate that the markup on the other page you are reading 
might not be correct. Did you try it with JAWS 15? If it works in one, but not 
the other, I would say it is a JAWS issue for sure.

hi all,
I'm using Jaws 16 and set the primary language to Chinese Hong Kong.
and I also have united state  ava for the  for the english voice as well.
my problem is:
when I go to a page that have chinese and english such as my face book.
it can use  ava to read english  but, when itreach the chinese word. it can not 
use my Cinese (Cantonese ) voice to read Chinese.
and I sometime go to a Chinese page and it has a few sentences or words in 
english.  and it  can not use the english voice to read the english words as 
well.
