Hi Bonnie:

You will not know if the CRM system is accessible until you begin using it. If I were in your shoes, I would talk with your supervisor and insist on being given the opportunity to test the new CRM software using your screen reader. This way, you may be able to identify potential problems prior to deployment and thus encourage remediation of those problems.

Regarding SharePoint, please forward the following link to the person/team responsible for maintaining the SharePoint environment in your organization:

This company offers tools which make the SharePoint environment section 508 compliant.

Many times, it is up to persons like us in the blind community (and all of the other disability areas) to educate those who are indirectly affecting our success or failure in an organization, through their choices of technology. We have to bring to their attention the options that exist to not only find technology that fills the business requirement, but also is accessible to all of the individuals in the organization.

Good luck,
John

Subject: [JAWS-Users] CRM

Hello,

The agency that I work for is in the process of putting all our files on
CRM. My question is whether this is going to be accessible or not. We also
use Sharepoint and personally, I don't think it works so well with JAWS. Any
comments or opinions regarding this would be appreciated.

Bonnie
