Mike, I so, want to thank you for trying to help me understand about the , action center. However I probably need much more help than you can provide with this format. I don't have but two things in my system tray. One is the MSE protection report. It tells me that the system is protected or not protected. The other thing in there is the speakers. I don't use any icons for getting around my computer. I do use the start button . I used the start menu to go to action center. It seemed to tell me that there were no problems to report. At least when I did a enter key on that selection I found nothing there. I mean that using the arrow keys to find problems it was empty. Or at least jaws did not say a thing. When I went to control panel, there didn't seem to be much there for me. Mostly choices about how things are displayed on the monitor. When I went to ease of access, which sounded promising to me, jaws once again quit speaking while I was in that choice. If I am not using email or word, I am so lost and am afraid to change much for fear of screwing up my computer. Once again, I want to thank you for your thoughtfulness in trying to help me. LeDon.

This is if you have Control Panel set to display small icons. You can use Action Center to see what issues your computer is experiencing and also the recommended fix for these issues. There should be an icon in your system tray (Notification Area), which will tell you if there are any current issues. If this says that there are issues present, by pressing enter on this icon, Action Center will open and you will have to check to see if the issues are related to Security or Maintenance. Clicking on one or the other of these will present you with options that you need to use in order to remedy the issues. After doing so, you can return to the system tray to see that there are now no current issues. I hope this explains it for you. If not, please ask further questions.
