Hi Artur,

Thank you very very much! Is it safe to assume that Excel will also be
reverse compatible? I'm just trying to be sure before I purchase an Office
suite that won't be compatible with much older formats. This is going to be
a gift so....
Thanks again.
Take care.
Mike

All Word Documents
(*.docx;*.docm;*.dotx;*.dotm;*.doc;*.dot;*.htm;*.html;*.rtf;*.mht;*.mhtml;*.xml;*.odt;*.pdf)

(skipped choices, previous formats separately)

Text Files (*.txt)
WordPerfect 5.x (*.doc)

Hi All,

Will Word 2013 access / read older documents formats like, .doc? I'm aware
of the MS file format converter but, I don't know if this converter works
for 2013 for opening documents going back as far as to Office 2000 or 2002.
All advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks muchh.
Take care.
Mike
