Leonard,

1. Yes, there are scripts available for OE6. What it does is disable the
commented line so Jaws recognizes and runs OE using higher versions of
Windows. I think the scripts are available on the Jaws-users programs page.

2. It appears and functions as Outlook Express did in XP.

3. I can't specifically answer importing of contacts from Thunderbird, but
I'm sure there is a way to do it. You probably would export them as a CSV
file and then import into Outlook Express if there isn't a more automated
way.

4. OE will work with any email address you have. You just need to
configure it properly. Gmail works. You can find your server setup
instructions easily enough; you need to set your inbound port 995 and smtp
to port 465. SSL would be checked.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] outlook express 6 for windows 7

I downloaded OE 6 for windows 7. I have not installed it yet. I have the
following questions:

1. Do I need Jaws scripts?

2. Does the interface look like the old OE I used with XP?

3. I'm using Thunderbird now. Can I import contacts from Thunderbird?.

4. My email client is Gmail. Does this version support it?

5. any additional setup tips you wish to offer will be greatly
appreciated. Thanks.
