That's why I completely uninstall old versions, once I reassure myself a new version is working. I learned that with 11 and 12; only clean uninstalls would undo their mischief.

However, even though each big upgrade of JAWS is a separate program, they share components. As each program is removed or newly installed, I believe these shared components get corrupted at some point, creating the many issues discussed on the list. I, for one, never know whether or not to leave or remove shared components with each new upgrade. My issue with JAWS 16 is that it never installed with default settings, but rather looks as if it merged with God knows whit version of JAWS on my computer. It seems to me that FS should figure out how to keep each version from affecting another.
