Actually Ed, Hotmail.com, then Live.com, and now outlook.com. Windows Live Mail is a program that can be downloaded free from the Microsoft Download Center:

From here, you can get free downloads for many Microsoft products like
Windows and Office. You can also get Windows Live Essentials here by typing it into the search box on the page, selecting the version that you want from the search results, and then clicking download or get it, I forget just what it says now, but you get the picture. Windows Live Mail is included in Windows Live Essentials. I suggest the 2012 version, as it is the latest version, and the software is being developed no more, but I believe it is still supported. When installing, you will see 5 or 6 different softwares, and I would only download Mail, Definitely do not download Messenger, and the others are yours to choose from, but none of them have ever been of any use to me. When you see the list during installation, press the space bar to check the ones that you do want to install, and you will have to press the right and left arrows to see them all.

I hope this helps you out, if you decide to download it, I will be glad to assist you in the installation and or set up of the program. Just let me know.

Hi Mike,
I thought wLM was the same as Outlook.com. I thought it started out as
Hotmail then it went to wlm then to outlook.com. Correct me if I am thinking
wrong.

Hi Ed,

I'll tell you, I have found the Outlook.com site to be virtually
inaccessible. The best solution that I have found is using Windows Live
Mail, or some other Email client to set your accounts up in. They offer so
much more functionality, and they are easier to access. I have not even had
much luck in opening an email on the Outlook.com website. This would be my
advice to you as well. Hope this helps.
