Hi No, you don't need a program's source code to write scripts for that program. But you will need to know what aspects of the program are not accessible and then determine how to make them accessible. If you want to learn JAWS scripting, you should start with the Basics of Scripting manual which you can find on the Freedom Scientific site. This manual used to be distributed with JAWS and could be found by opening Explore the manuals in the JAWS menu of the start menu, all programs. But JAWS 13 was the last version to include the Basics of Scripting manual.
