If your in box has 100 messages it will tell you that and it will say 80 messages that you haven't read that means that at sometime you have opened 20 of the messages. This is a way for you to know how many messages are in a folder also. So say you wanted to see how many messages in a folder you have made you can use the same command. In outlook 2013, when I press jaws plus numpad three I get two numbers. Messages in view 168 message in view 131, as a for instance. I'm just wondering why the two different counts of the messages in my inbox.
