I don't know if there is a shortcut key to rename a worksheet, but what is
happening to you is the way it's always worked for me. When you choose
Rename and JAWS says Edit you are supposed to type the name you want for the
current sheet. As far as I know you can't left and right arrow. You just
type the new name and press Enter. I've never found a way to rename a sheet
without making it the current sheet first. I'd be interested if there is
more to this that I don't know.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] Renaming a sheet in Excel 2013

Hello list members:

I use JAWS 16. How can I rename a sheet in Excel 2013? When I go to Format
and Rename on the Home tab of the ribbon, JAWS says "Edit." At this point, I
should be able to left and right arrow through the current name of the
sheet, but JAWS doesn't say anything. Is there a shortcut key or other
method I can use to rename the sheet?

Thanks

Derek
