I have not tried a driver update program in a while, but the ones that I have tried have either been inaccessible, or have not rendered the latest driver. Many drivers can be updated from within Windows Device Manager, or you can always be sure of getting the latest driver by going to the manufacturer's web site. A little more work, but worth it. Actually, my philosophy is that if it ain't broke, don't fix it. There are times when a new driver may improve performance, but often this is not the case, and sometimes a new driver can actually cause problems.
