JAWS 13 is doing fine in, believe it or not, EI 7; tried updating, but my
system too old - XP. So, one of these days, I know that EI will quit; Google
keeps warning me. Anyway, 13 probably would work for you if you still have
it.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] Question regarding JAWS v16 and Internet Explorer 9,10
or 11?
Hello,
I'm using the latest build of JAWS v16 (64 Bit) under Windows 7 Home
Edition with a TripleTalk USB synth.
I've been using Internet Explorer v8 for a while because I'm unable to use
the JAWS cursor to read text for any later builds of Internet Explorer.
Well I'm sick of the constant warnings about my using an old outdated
browser so I'm now forced to update to the latest build of Internet
Explorer.
Is there any way of configuring Internet Exploer v9, 10 or 11 which will
allow the JAWS cursor to read web page text? Yes, I'm able to use the
Virtual cursor of course, but sometime I need to navigate the screen using
the JAWS cursor. Right now JAWS isn't able to read anything. It actually
does the same thing with FireFox too.
Maybe some sort of preview caching feature needs to be disabled or some
plug-in needs to be installed that will force text to be written to the
browser Window, which will allow the JAWS cursor to read it?
Can someone give me somepointers on how to make JAWS work in this way with
IE?
