Mike,

Yep. That did it. Many thanks, as that was driving me crazy.

Hi Dave,

Below are some notes I've saved. Hopefully 1 of them will help.

you probably have the "show all" button pressed in Word. I don't know what
version of word you're using, but in word2010, in the home ribbon, under the
paragraph group, there is a button called "show all". If that button is
"pressed", then every paragraph, page, section mark etc will be read aloud
by jaws. Turn it off by hitting enter on the Show all button in the
Paragraph group of the home tab.

Here's the fix. I had this problem. Perform alt-f (at the same time), then t
(for options). You'll be in a list of categories. Arrow down once to
display. Then tab right and you'll eventually come across various things to
uncheck, including tabs, spaces, and then paragraph marks.

In Office 2007 and above, the key tip is alt-h, then 8.

Take care.

Okay, I was trying some hotkey combinations, and now I am constantly hearing
Outline Levels, Paragraph Marks, and New Lines. How do I get those turned
off and stay off? Possibly do I need to delete the default template?

Word 2007, Windows 7.
