Hi Dave,

That's where I started before posting the question. I cannot find any
reference to anything about batteries or their status in control panel /
power options.or, system tray when this window pops up. Thank you very much
for your input.
Take Care.

Mike,

If you go into the Power Options dialog in Control Panel, you should find a
tab that allows you to determine how the battery charge state is announced.
At least that's a place to start.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] Battery Meter, How To Turn It Off

Hi All,

Running a Dell Inspiron 3847 desktop with Windows7 Pro 64 bit & J16. I keep
getting a Battery Meter window popping up & would like to know if there is a
way to turn this off? Since I don't use a battery, I don't see any reason
for having it popping up & it can't be accessed with Jaws to read if there's
anything there. I've tried using the Jaws' OCR feature on it, but with no
luck. All help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks much.
Take Care.
Mike
