A relevant thing I can say about start up sound is this. One night at about
1 o'clock, in a thunderstorm, I woke up and heard Windows 98 come on. My
computer was turned off for the night. So I had to get up wait for it to
boot, then turn it off. Had I not heard the sound, there could have been
more lightning effect, or I could have gotten up tried to turn it on, when
it already would have been on, and so forth - well, you can get the idea.

Hi
In Windows 7, There is a Windows startup sound and a Windows logon sound.
But you can't change the Windos startup ssound itself. all you can do
with
the Windows startup sound is choose to play it or not by checking or
unchecking the check box in the control panel
