Maybe I'm wrong, but I always thought it remembered the last setting. I'm not even sure which version I have, but it came with Windows 7. I remember being agreeably surprised by its overall level of performance. If the DVD driver compliment were a bit better, . . . but that's water under the bridge now.

Hi Ted, Yes it always starts on maximum no matter what level you set using the F8 and F9 keys before exiting the player. I understand that UK users of the new Victor stream, suffer with the same problem, apparently a new European rule concerning this now applies,I find this a little bit strange! Do you adjust it only to find it resets itself next time you come in? Hi all, At the moment the media player always starts at maximum level, is there any way I can have the player start at a lower level? I am using JFW15 and Windows7.
