I do not remember who mentioned about restoring the os in a gateway computer. It is a very long process but working. After the roll back I went to microsoftstore.com to update from 8 to 8.1. It stated that I need to do all windows 8 updates first. There are a total of 157 updates. It only allowed me to do the first 132 first. After 4 hours 90 of the 132 are installed. So there is another few hours before I can bring it back to win 8.1. Then she has to bring down her games and other installs. A big thanks everyone who had suggestions. Hopefully tomorrow evening I can give it back to her. I stopped doing this for people about 15 years ago. It did refresh some memories with all of your help. A long time ago it was almost a full time job cleaning and repairing computers for family and friends. I never would accept any money or anything so it really got out of hand.I had people that I never knew calling me through out the night. Gabby is a really sweet kid and I would do anything for her.
