Stop speculating
win 7 is having support till 2020 and after this will be end. but updates
will come not probably sp or new functions but security updates yes.

That is what I am thinking that will eventually happen - Microsoft not
supporting Windows 7 and then 8.
Then the time will come that they'll want to dump 10. No telling what we'll
have by that time.
