Hi all, I am getting a serious message when I try to open a PDF document in Adobe Reader using my Windows 8.1 laptop. When I enter on any PDF document, I get this message about Adobe. Fatal Error Adobe failed to connect to DDE server Under this, there is an Okay button and that is all there is on the screen. I would appreciate any help you can give me on why I am getting this message. Adobe Reader never opens, instead, I just get that short message with an Okay button. When I enter on that Okay button, the message will not leave the screen. Thank you so much for any ideas or what I should do. It is scarey when it says Fatal Message at the top.
