Hi guys, I recently joined the NVDA mailing list on tuesday july 28th, and I
found out about an accessible way to uninstall McAfee from your machine when
you purchase it from the manufacturing company! there’s a tool, called app
remover! and it has a web style interface, on the other hand, it’s easy to
navagate with jaws.
Go to http://www.appremover.com/download then scroll down with your
arrow keys, and you’ll see something that says looking for the old app remover?
right below that, there’s a link that says download, space on that save it to
your downloads folder, that’s where your files automaticly get saved by
default, run the executable, and you’ll see something that says check I accept
the terms in the license agreement, space on that, and it’ll come up with a
list of security products sutch as avast, McAfee, and Eset, and ahole lot more!
and because the web style interface is a mouse over interface, when you see the
products listed as you navagate with your arrow keys, for example, McAfee,
downarrow once, and jaws’ll say check remove! space on that, jaws won’t read
the checkboxes, then downarrow to where it says remove clickable! and space on
that, then your cooking with gas! then when it’s done, reboot your machine, and
there you have it!
I hope I was helpful to you guys.
