the answer to your question: in the script manager.
the objective is to get the text that appears in notepad copied to the
script manager. the control+a wasn't really necessary but doing so
ensures a clean copy and paste.
error messages from the script manager are rarely correct. usually
something else is wrong. it gives a near miss as to what is really
wrong... unless FS has recently improved the error messaging.

marks to make sure they are straight quotation marks. sometimes they get
screwed up. why, I don't know. when I dabbled a few years ago in writing
scripts, those d### quotation marks.
