ok, I must be either loosing my mind here or it's cause I haven't had coffee yet this morning, or my hearing is failing. I checked in control panel, the email sound is set, I tested it and heard it through desktop speakers, imagine that! Its still sounding as if it's coming from behind me instead of in front, I guess I will get used to it.
